Manini Luca was born in Verbania in 1983. After receiving the high school diploma in chemistry and a university degree, he attended the Civic School of Lutherie in Milan from 2006 to 2007 and the School of Lutherie in Noceto, Parma from 2007 to 08, studying under Maestro Renato Scrollavezza. Since 2006, he has worked as an apprentice in the workshop of Maestro Dario Segala and collaborated with Maestro Luca Sbernini, both based in Verbania. In 2020, he opened his own workshop on Via Quarto 6 in Lecco, where he focuses on the making and repair of violins, violas, and cellos, as well as rehairing bows. He became a professional luthier in 2022, and since 2023 he has been a member of A.L.I.. His awards and Recognitions include: 2008, Pisogne (Italy) – 2nd ANLAI National Competition, student category: 3rd and 4th place (violin); 2021, Sogliano al Rubicone (Italy) – 1st “M. Capicchioni” International Competition, non-professional category: 1st prize (violin).
