Born on 23 February 1960 into a family with a three-generation history of working in the field of musical instruments, he enrolled at the International School of Violin Making in Cremona in 1974. In 1974, he enrolled at the International School of Violin Making in Cremona, graduating in 1978 under the tutelage of Maestri Morassi and Scolari. He participated in various national and international competitions, winning second prize at the 7th Competition for Young Violin Makers in Bagnacavallo in 1982 and second prize at the 12th Violin Making Competition in Bagnacavallo in 1988 for a cello.
He currently lives and works in Crema, where he builds instruments for the classical quartet and restores and makes baroque instruments.
