Violins, Violas, Cellos

Massimiliano Dalla Costa is son and student of Fabio Dalla Costa. He began training at the age of 13. Throughout his school years, he spent his summers in his father’s workshop, where, in 2013 at the age of 15, he completed his first instrument. In 2018, he earned his high school diploma and, in the same year, began working full-time in the family workshop. He builds bowed string instruments, particularly violins, violas, and cellos, and also carries out restoration and maintenance of historical instruments. In 2020, he participated as a luthier in the documentary film Con le mie mani, which won first prize at the Trento Film Festival. In October 2021 and again in August 2022, two CDs were released featuring a solo viola he built in 2020. His work is distinguished by the use of top-quality materials, naturally seasoned tonewoods, meticulous attention to detail in every part of the instrument, and a strong inspiration drawn from the classical Cremonese school.
