Michele Buccellè was born in Cremona in 1981. From a young age he cultivated a deep passion for violin making. He pursued an outstanding educational path, graduating in 2000 from the International School of Violin Making in Cremona, where he studied under Wanna Zambelli and Massimo Negroni. After graduation, Michele refined his personal style by working alongside Maestro Maurizio Tadioli, an experience that allowed him to further hone his craftsmanship. He specialises in the construction of copies of antique instruments, seeking to offer an interpretation that is both informed and personal. He uses a variety of models, including those by Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesù, and Giovanni Battista Guadagnini. His work is known for its meticulous attention to both aesthetics and sound, creating instruments that represent a true synthesis of tradition and innovation. In 2009, Michele Buccellè was awarded the Sabino Preti Prize at the 12th International Triennale Competition of Stringed Instruments as the best young violin maker from Cremona. Today, Michele builds violas, violins, and cellos in the Cremonese tradition, and his instruments are appreciated both in Italy and abroad by musicians performing in orchestras around the world. Michele Buccellè collaborates with the “A. Stradivari” International School of Violin Making in Cremona, supporting work-based learning programs.
